Heat Exchanger

Heat Exchanger
A total heat exchanger achieves high energy savings by exchanging the total heat (sensible and latent heat) from exhaust air with incoming fresh air, reducing the load on the air conditioning unit.
For the latent heat exchange medium, instead of conventional hygroscopic agents (such as silica gel or zeolite), which can allow odor transfer, an ion-exchange resin with no VOCs or odor transfer is used, resolving this issue.
This makes the system suitable for recovering air-conditioning energy from VOCs-containing exhaust in gravure printing factories, converting factories, or clean rooms.
Furthermore, our proprietary air-conditioning energy calculation software computes electricity consumption, steam consumption, CO₂ emissions, and costs in real time, optimizing the control of the total heat exchanger and maximizing energy-saving performance.

Prevention of VOCs and Odor Transfer

Absorption by Silica Gel Absorption by Ion-Exchange Resin
Due to capillary adsorption, odors are also captured along with water, especially water-soluble odors. Only water molecules are absorbed as illustrated below.

Breakdown of Energy Consumption for Gravure Printing Factory

In fact, approximately half of the facility's total energy consumption is used for air-conditioning. Therefore, reducing the air-conditioning load is a tremendously important and inevitable of any energy-saving plan.

Therefore, our system, which achieves high energy-saving performance, has been adopted in many gravure printing factories as an effective solution for reducing air-conditioning energy in facilities with high ventilation requirements.
